Facebook Privacy Changes on Temporary Hold

You have time to re-evaluate your privacy settings before Facebook implements changes that ‘could’ release your mobile phone number (if you have it on FB) and your address.

What I would like to know is …. re the mobile number. Is that in reference to the phone numbers and address that you have recorded in your profile, or is it referencing the mobile number that you use to set up Facebook-ing from your mobile phone.
Think again. Not everyone has unlimited texting. Can you imagine what this would spell for a lot of folks if their number was loose in the hands of spammers? (That’s aside from making a gazillion mobile FB users really really angry).
FB needs to find another way to make their idea work without giving automatic approval across the board.

Facebook U-turns on phone and address data sharing

The updates would be launched “in the next few weeks”, it added and the feature will be suspended in the meanwhile.
