Nuke time: 0135 GMT, 09 Oct 2006 – North Korea

Need I say more? No? Well then I’ll “quote.”

“Our science research section has safely and successfully conducted an underground nuclear test on October 9.”

Well, good for you. But hey, didn’t I mention to you earlier Kim, that you wouldn’t see Broadway if you pulled this stunt? I know how much you like the movies. And that “real american US dollar” that you want so badly …. notta, nope, finnito, gone. And don’t think about counterfeiting it.

SEOUL (Reuters) North Korea warned of catastrophic consequences on Sunday if South Korea’s military engaged in “unforgivable military provocation” like the weekend skirmish at a heavily fortified border between the two Koreas.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said its soldiers fired warning shots at five North Korean soldiers who had climbed over the military demarcation line despite several verbal warnings over loudspeakers.

Kim, was this your sorry excuse for detonating that nuke? What happened to your worries that the U.S. was going to pounce on you with nuclear war? Leave South Korea alone already. I knew you were hungry but this won’t put the food on your table anytime soon either. Hey, have you heard of that movie called “Jack Ass” ??

Earlier in the day…. this report from:
BEIJING (Reuters)the possibility that North Korea would make good on its threat could not be ruled out, adding that if it did so the United Nations would discuss invoking Chapter 7 of the U.N. Charter, which could lay the groundwork for military force.

Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter sets out the UN Security Council’s powers to maintain peace. It allows the Council to “determine the existence of any threat to the peace, breach of the peace, or act of aggression” and to take military and nonmilitary action to “restore international peace and security.”

Everyone talks but the only one that’s walked their talk so far is North Korea and nothing positive about it in my opinion.

Until later….
